Protein Brownies
I don’t know about you, but I can’t live without dessert or anything with chocolate! Here’s my go-to recipe for a healthy chocolate brownie packed with protein. Enjoy every bite.
Ingredients:
1/2 stick (4 tbsp) butter, melted and cooled
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar (unrefined white) or 1/2 cup monk fruit sweetener or maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
2/3 cup cacao powder
1/4 cup gluten-free or regular flour
1/4 cup chocolate whey protein powder (I use the chocolate flavor)
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Combine the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Mix until well blended.
Gradually add the sugar (or your choice of sweetener), cacao powder, flour, protein powder, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
Fold in the chocolate chips if you’re using them.
Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan with butter and pour the batter into the pan, spreading it evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until the brownies are set in the middle, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the brownies cool in the pan before cutting them into squares. Enjoy your delicious and protein-packed treat!
