Hot Chocolate

This hot chocolate recipe nourishes your body with antioxidants, polyphenols, and other health-boosting benefits like:

  • Antioxidants: Cacao is rich in antioxidants such as flavonoids and polyphenols, which help combat oxidative stress and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.

  • Mood Booster: Indulging in a cup of hot chocolate can boost serotonin levels in the brain, promoting feelings of happiness and well-being.

  • Heart Health: Cacao's flavonoids may improve heart health by lowering blood pressure, improving blood flow, and reducing inflammation.

  • Nutrient-Rich: Cacao is a good source of essential minerals such as magnesium, iron, and zinc, which are vital for various bodily functions.

  • Collagen Support: Collagen is essential for skin elasticity, joint health, and gut function.

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 tbsp of raw cacao powder

  • 1 scoop of collagen

  • 1 tsp of bee pollen

  • 2 tbsp of maple syrup

  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

  • 1-1.5 cups of boiling water

  • 1 tsp of maca powder (optional if you want hormone support)

  • 1.5 cups of raw milk (or any milk of your choice)

Directions:

  1. Heat the raw milk in a saucepan over medium heat until it becomes a gentle simmer. Do not boil the milk to preserve its nutritional properties. If you’re using any other milk, you can heat it as you like.

  2. While the milk is heating, combine the cacao powder, collagen, bee pollen, and maca powder (if using) in a separate bowl.

  3. Gradually whisk in the dry ingredient mixture. Continue whisking until the cacao powder and collagen are fully dissolved and the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

  4. Stir in the maple syrup and vanilla extract.

  5. Slowly pour in the boiling water, stirring constantly to incorporate all the ingredients. Adjust the amount of water based on your desired consistency.

  6. Remove the saucepan from the heat and pour the hot chocolate into mugs.

  7. Optional: For an extra touch of sweetness, garnish your hot chocolate with a sprinkle of cacao powder or a drizzle of maple syrup.

Enjoy.
